Our Guest Minister for November 9, Rev. Dr. Bill Neely, honorably retired minister with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Dr. Neely lives with his spouse, The Rev. Dr. Wanda S. Neely, at Trails End Cabin, Montreat NC. In retirement Bill served as Transitional Pastor in three churches. Before retirement Bill served congregations in Tennessee and South Carolina and then served 14 years as Senior Pastor, First Presbyterian, Greenville NC. For the past 29 years, Bill has served on the National Response Team of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
Bill and Wanda have three children:
Dr. Susan Neely-Barnes, Director of School of Social Work, University of Memphis. She lives with her spouse Craig, Attorney with Shelby County, TN, Bill and Wanda’s two grandchildren, Ellen, a graduate of University of Tennessee, working on a masters at East Tennessee State University and Nathan, twelfth grader.
Will Neely, their son with disabilities, passed away November 2019.
Dr. Ray K. Neely, Physicist, Teaches at Triton College, River Grove, Illinois. Ray lives with his spouse, Audrey Bowlds, a Clinical Assistant Professor, Midwestern University, Downers Grove, Illinois , who is working on a PHD at Clemson University.
