Guest Ministers

Our Guest Minister for October 12 is Rev. Wil Posey. Rev. Posey is an ordained elder in The Western NC Conference of the UMC, and is in his seventh year serving as that pastor of First UMC in Murphy, NC.  He serves in various district and conference leadership capacities.  His passions in ministry include teaching, dreaming with the church, pastoral care that helps people see their stories as part of God’s unfolding story of grace, and potlucks.  Rev. Posey also is the vice chair of the Board of Directors for the John C. Campbell Folk School.  He is married to his high school sweetheart, Lea, and together they have two beautiful children: Nathanael and Nora.  Rev. Posey enjoys coaching both of his kids’ soccer teams, woodworking, taking a walk on a trail, and hanging out with family or friends around a fire pit.
