Our Guest Minister for December 17 is Rev. John Elam. He is a retired Presbyterian Minister of the Word and Sacrament. Born March 21, 1953 in Chapel Hill, N.C., he grew up in Greensboro and was educated at UNC-CH , Wake Forest University Law School and Union Theological Seminary.
Rev. Elam practiced law in Greensboro for 33 years. Then, upon receiving God’s call to ministry, he obtained his Master of Divinity, was ordained, and spent 10 years in the pulpits of Pine Hall Presbyterian Church (Pine Hall, N.C.) and Franklin Presbyterian Church (Salisbury, N.C.).
Rev. Elam lives in Holden Beach with his wife, Eve. They have four children and four grandchildren.
